My own experience with the movie and also reading user reviews sharing their thoughts of the film as well I find those live at time of recording. Project Hail Mary is here and booming everywhere. Actually a distinct lack of boom considering we are in space and there is no sound. I read the book prior to seeing the film and it's the first time I've done that and I have some (non obnoxious) thoughts about it.
